A two-goal salvo early in the second half sent the Hawks crashing to a 2-0 Skrill South loss against Bromley at Hayes Lane.

After an even first half ended goalless, the second-placed hosts sealed the Hawks’ fate with goals from Pierre Joseph-Dubois and Ashley Nicholls.

Rob Evans was the hero for Moneyfields as they battled to a 1-0 victory over local rivals AFC Portchester in the Wessex League premier division.

A hard-fought derby game threatened to boil over late on when Moneys substitute Rob Gauntlett was sent off for a two-footed tackle on Joe Bye - but the hosts’ 10 men held on to claim the spoils.

Bognor returned to form with an impressive 5-2 victory over Bury Town at Nyewood Lane.

Successive losses at Hayes and Yeading and AFC Hornchurch were banished from the Rocks’ memory as they ran riot, with Terry Dodd and Ben Johnson both netting doubles before Kane Wills evaded an offside flag to put the gloss on a fine display.

The visitors who trailed 3-0 and 4-1, reduced the arrears through William Clark and Shane Tolley.
