Joe Keehan is unlikely to figure in tonight’s Blue Square South match against Dorchester at West Leigh Park (7.45pm) after his loan spell expired at the weekend.

Gale indicated the midfield player was set to return to Rushden & Diamonds, with a loan extension too costly.

Defender Jon McDonald (bruised ribs) is still ruled out but Gale hopes Leon Cashman will be available and not on Royal Navy duty.

‘Tonight is an opportunity for us to make it three consecutive wins,’ said Gale.

‘Once you start to pick up momentum then the belief comes back.

‘We know there is still a lot of hard work to do.

‘Dorchester are fighting for their lives at the wrong end of the table and will be a tough proposition.

‘We need to go out there and be professional.

‘Again we might need to be patient.

‘Financially it has not been easy for the club with games called off and to keep someone like Keehan is expensive.’
