James Hayter secured a point for the Hawks as they came from behind to seal a 1-1 home draw with St Albans City in Vanarama National League South.

The former Bournemouth man netted in first-half stoppage time after Harry Crawford had put the visitors ahead just before the half-hour mark.

Gosport Borough had a defensive meltdown as they were hammered 6-2 on their own patch by Hemel Hempstead in their league clash.

Borough found themselves 4-0 down at half-time and although Rowan Vine and Lee Wort gave them hope of staging a recovery, former Hawks man Jamie Slabber completed his hat-trick to send Borough tumbling.

In the FA Trophy, Bognor eased through with a 3-0 win over East Grinstead as goals from Sami El-Abd, Harvey Whyte and Jason Prior booked their place in the next round.

In the FA Vase, Moneyfields came through their home tie with Corsham Town 1-0 thanks to Lerone Plummer’s first-half header.

Both both AFC Portchester and Horndean crashed out.

Portchester suffered a shock 2-1 home loss to Abbey Rangers, while Horndean went down 3-1 at home to Barnstaple Town..

In the Wessex premier division, Fareham Town crashed to a 3-1 defeat at Cowes Sports.
