Steve Johnson got off to a winning start as Hawks boss with a crucial 1-0 victory at Truro.

Johnson, who took over the team on a caretaker basis following the departure of Shaun Gale last weekend, saw his men take a key step towards Blue Square Bet survival in Cornwall.

A Christian Nanetti penalty secured the Hawks a precious three points at Treyew Road.

The game was decided on 70 minutes when Nanetti was tripped in the area - and the little striker kept his cool to smash his penalty high into the net.
