Alex Pike has called on Gosport to gatecrash Bideford’s party tomorrow.

Borough host the runaway Southern League division one south & west leaders at Privett Park (3pm).

Bideford are undefeated in 25 games and are cruising towards the competition’s top flight.

However, Gosport have only lost once at home all season and are determined to book a place in the end-of-season play-offs.

And Pike is confident his men can snatch another prized scalp. The former Wimborne boss said: ‘I want us to be party poopers.

‘We had to endure AFC Totton winning the title at our ground last season and for Bideford to repeat that would be hard to stomach.

‘It’s games like this that can make or break a season.

‘Privett Park has been turned into a fortress in the past two years and we want that to continue.

‘We are also unbeaten in 10 league games and have only lost four times all season.

‘Our win at third-placed Hungerford last week shows we are in good shape and it is important we maintain our momentum.

‘Second place is still up for grabs and we have to set our sights on it.’

Striker Liam Sewell is suspended but experienced defender Aaron Cook is continuing his recovery from an ankle injury.

Veteran striker Steve Claridge is back, while Craig Feeney – signed from Totton & Eling – comes into the squad for the first time and could be given his debut up front. Pike swooped to sign the 20-year-old hitman this week in a bid to give his side added pace and firepower in the final five games.

‘He can catch pigeons,’ said the Borough boss.

‘The lad is young, raw, full of potential and coming to us at the right time.’
