Ten-man Hawks exited the FA Trophy with a 3-1 defeat against Harlow Town at Westleigh Park.

Despite dominating the first half the home side fell behind five minutes before the break, and moments later had Jason Prior sent off.

Harlow extended their lead early in the second half before Ed Harris reduced the arrears on 59 minutes.

But a last-minute breakaway goal sealed the Hawks’ fate.

There was progress in the competition for Gosport Borough, though, as a cracking Chris Flood finish was enough to earn a 1-0 victory at Hungerford Town.

Petersfield Town failed to build on their upturn in league form as they stumbled to a 2-0 loss at home to mid-table Chalfont St Peter.

And it was draws all-round in the Wessex League premier division - AFC Portchester 2 Brockenhurst 2; Fareham Town 1 Sholing 1; Moneyfields 0 Blackfield & Langley 0; Newport (IoW) 3 Horndean 3.
