Fareham Town crashed out of the Wessex League Cup with a 3-0 loss to Bemerton Heath Harlequins at Cams Alders last night.
Reds boss Matt Parr was left deflated as his team put in a poor performance.
‘We barely had a shot on goal all game and we were poor,’ said Parr.
‘It was a very flat performance and we lacked any real drive.
‘For some reason we couldn’t seem to get going.
‘We started off brightly enough.
‘But after conceding against the run of play in the 20th minute, we never looked like rescuing it.
‘All their goals resulted from our poor defending.
‘It was probably our worst display of the season.’
Two further goals in the final 15 minutes sealed the Red’s fate.
A last-minute Ben Johnson penalty gave Bognor a 2-1 win at Ryman Premier strugglers Thamesmead Town.
Earlier, Johnson struck on 22 minutes before the hosts quickly levelled.
