Jamie Howell reflected on Bognor being cleared of any blame for the Kingstonian keeper ruck and said: It’s the right decision.

The Rocks were investigated after Ks keeper Rob Tolfrey went on to the terrace and confronted a fan at the end of the Rocks’ Ryman League premier division win at Kingstonian last month.

The FA have yet to decide whether they will punish Tolfrey, but have said Bognor have no case to answer on accusations of the incident itself and a claim – which was not backed up – of racial abuse.

Rocks officials thanked all those who made statements that helped the FA reach the decision.

Manager Howell said: ‘I was pleased to hear we had no case to answer because there was never any evidence we had done anything wrong.

‘There was rubbish going around after it happened, but this sets the record straight.’
