Moneyfields paid for a ‘lacklustre’ display as they lost 2-1 to Winchester City in the Wessex League premier division.

Manager Miles Rutherford was fuming at the final whistle.

It was left it to first-team coach Graeme Gee to express the disappointment.

‘We played well for the first 15 minutes but after that it was another lacklustre performance without passion or commitment,’ said Gee.

‘I think Miles feels cheated by that display.’

Youngster Jake Raine has been a shining light for Moneys.

He put the hosts ahead but City hit back to win.

Gee added: ‘Everyone is working hard to get things right and move the club forward.

‘We thought we’d turned the corner with the last couple of results but then they go and produce a performance like that.’
