The Hawks’ relegation woes deepened as they slipped to a third consecutive 1-0 defeat – against Farnborough at Cherrywood Road – this afternoon.

A third-minute Phil Page goal proved enough to settle the issue despite an improved second-half performance from the Hawks.

A home defeat for Hampton & Richmond, and draw for Maidenhead United, mean the Hawks remain outside the Blue Square Bet South’s bottom three – for now.

However, Hampton have a game in hand, at home to Basingstoke on Tuesday night, before the crucial final matches of the season next weekend.
