Michael Appleton will make a last-minute decision on his squad for tomorrow’s trip to Salisbury.
The Blues boss will weigh up his options for the trip to the Raymond McEnhill Stadium in the final warm-up game of the campaign (3pm).
The uncertainty surrounding the club’s future has impacted on the match, with Appleton still not knowing what his playing situation will be for the first competitive outing of the campaign at Plymouth on Tuesday.
There would still need to be a contingency plan if the takeover by Portpin, who are in discussions with the Pompey Supporters’ Trust, is not completed.
The likelihood, though, is tomorrow’s match will see the Blues field a mixture of development squad players and triallists.
