David Lampitt will be addressing the Pompey Supporters’ Trust next Thursday.

The Blues chief executive has agreed to attend a members-only event at the Rifle Club, Goldsmith Avenue, Fratton, from 7pm.

It is hoped the meeting will be a candid affair as Lampitt answers fans’ questions.

Trust spokesman Scott McLachlan said: ‘We hope the evening will be less combative than previous meetings the club’s chief executive may have had and hope to learn about the club’s future and his thoughts on the Trust and football in general.’

However, the event is classed as a private meeting, meaning only members will be admitted.

In addition, the press will be asked not to report on the night, although can be present if they are members.

The event will also host a raffle, with a signed Pompey shirt as the main prize.

Anyone still to renew their membership is advised to do so as membership will be checked on the night.

This can be done by visiting the Trust website at pompeytrust.com and carrying out the on-line registration.

Alternatively, fans can pop into the Trust bus situated in the Fratton end car park before Saturday’s game with Preston.

Supporters will also be allowed to join or renew on the night of the forum.
