Alan McLoughlin is in talks with Pompey over joining their youth set-up.
Alan McLoughlin has joined Pompey’s youth set-up.
The Blues legend has been confirmed as the club’s new Academy senior coach and will link up with ex-Blues team-mate Andy Awford, who became youth supremo earlier this year.
McLoughlin made 354 appearances and scored 67 goals during nine seasons at Fratton Park.
The former Republic of Ireland international managed Forest Green Rovers when he retired.
He joins Academy manager Awford and Paul Hardyman among the ex-Blues contingent now coaching youngsters at the club.
