Steve Cotterill admitted his side deserved their Hull defeat.

The Blues boss offered no excuses for a 1-0 loss at the KC Stadium.

They had to play the last 12 minutes with 10 men following Luke Varney’s sending off.

It’s a decision Cotterill disputes.

But he conceded he could have no complaints over the result secured by Robert Koren’s 11th-minute goal.

Cotterill said: ‘We didn’t play well enough today.

‘We didn’t work their keeper enough and Robert Koren should have been closed down for their goal.

‘Luke Varney’s sending off looked harsh, I don’t agree with that one at all.

‘Very disappointed on the back of our good performance at West Ham last week.’
