Johnny Ertl heads Pompey Supporters’ Trust’s new board intake.

The former Pompey player joins Clare Martin, Simon Colebrook and Scott Mclachlan in being voted by members to represent them.

With four places up for grabs, a total of seven candidates put themselves forward for the 2015 elections.

This afternoon the results were announced, with Ertl collecting 634 votes to take a place on the board, less than two months after mutually agreeing to leave Fratton Park as a player.

Ertl said: ‘Thank you to all the members who voted for me, I am very happy to now be working with the Trust.

‘Between the four of us coming into this there are people with different backgrounds and different perspectives and we believe it can be a bright future for the club.

‘I will use my experience as a professional footballer to help the Trust, which is already the biggest community club in England.’

Results: Johnny Ertl (634), Clare Martin (427), Simon Colebrook (413), Scott Mclachlan (412), Sheila Devaney (345), Alexander Vernal Jnr (213), David Maples (170).
