Pompey and Southampton are ready to do battle on the football field once again.

Except this time, it will be charity which will be the real winner.

The last occasion the fierce neighbours met was in the FA Cup last season, when the Blues romped to a 4-1 triumph at St Mary’s.

Now a host of familiar faces will be coming out of retirement this Sunday, March 20 to represent their former clubs in the latest rematch.

Taking place at West Leigh Park (1pm kick-off), the fund-raising clash is looking to help Cancer Research UK’s work into male cancers.

Among those who have pledged their attendance are Alan Knight, Mark Chamberlain, Darren Anderton, Andy Awford, Gavin McGuire, Kit Symons, Lee Bradbury and Billy Gilbert.

Representing Southampton will be Paul Jones, Jason Dodd, Francis Benali, Claus Lundekvam, Jo Tessem and Glen Cockerill.

Admittance is £5, which will be used as a donation.
