Pompey legends are turning out in force on Sunday night in aid of a local charity.

Alan McLoughlin, Alan Knight, Ray Crawford and Pat Neil are some of the former Fratton favourites enlisted to help the fundraising for the Charlotte Beech Lasting Memories Fund.

Set up in partnership with Asthma UK, the charity remembers Charlotte Beech, who tragically died aged 15 following an asthma attack in April 2009.

Her father, Bob, has organised a Pompey Legends night on Sunday, May 1, at the Alma Arms, Southsea, at 7pm.

Ex-Pompey players will be present for an informal Q&A session.

There will also be a raffle, with a host of top prizes up for grabs. These include a signed Pompey shirt, Blues memorabilia and signed copies of the autobiographies of Ray Crawford and Linvoy Primus.

All money raised will go towards the Charlotte Beech Lasting Memories Fund.

Tickets for Sunday’s event are selling well and are still available.

They are priced at £5 and can be ordered by e-mailing pompeylegends@aol.com

Alternatively, anyone interested can contact organiser Bob Beech on 07751 465723.
