Pompey legends defeated an ex-Saints side 7-1 in a charity match played at West Leigh Park on Sunday.

A bizarre own goal by Saints keeper Paul Jones, along with second-half strikes from Mark Chamberlain, Lee Bradbury (2), Jamie Laidlaw (2) and a superb chip from Darren Anderton, saw the Pompey legends home.

Keeper Alan Knight was also in fine form, impressing the 300-plus supporters who attended.

The aim of the match was to raise money for Cancer Research UK, with more than £1,000 raised on the day.
