Guy Whittingham felt it was a positive week for his Pompey side after their 1-1 draw at Plymouth.
Following last weekend’s win over Rochdale and the midweek Johnstone’s Paint Trophy success at Oxford, the draw at Home Park capped an unbeaten run of three games, after Jed Wallace cancelled out Conor Hourihane’s effort.
Whittingham said: ‘I think we have got to look at the whole picture of the week.
‘Two wins and a draw is very pleasing for us.
‘You set up to win the game but I was pleased with the response after we went behind.
‘The point was probably a fair result. They started better than us and we were getting used to their system but then we came into it.
‘We probably had the better of the early part of the second half and then they had a good spell towards the end.
On reflection, a draw was probably about right.’
