Hermann Hreidarsson is never short of a word or two.

And former team-mate David James will be treated to a few via text in the build-up to tonight’s clash.

The long-time Fratton team-mates will be on opposing sides at Bristol City as Pompey look to make it seven wins on the trot.

And Hreidarsson is relishing the chance to stoke matters up ahead of the James reunion.

He said: ‘I will definitely send Jamo a text. I won’t say a lot other than “see you after the game”.

‘It won’t mean anything to me particularly more than any other game we want to win.

‘But it’s against Jamo. He was here 10 months ago and is still in great shape and signed there for another year recently, which is brilliant for him.

‘It shows what you can do if you look after yourself.’
