Gallen relishing Pompey’s FA Cup trip to Luton

Have your say

Ipswich have emerged as rivals in Pompey’s pursuit of Kieron Freeman, according to reports.

Paul Cook is keen on bringing in the right-back from Sheffield United.

But the East Anglian Daily Times say Mick McCarthy wants the 24-year-old at Portman Road.

The Championship side have already taken Adam Webster from Fratton Park this summer, in a deal worth Matt Clarke plus £700,000.

Freeman has a year remaining on his existing deal but has been transfer listed at Bramall Lane.

The former Nottingham Forest trainee joined Pompey on loan in January and made seven appearances, with three coming off the bench.
