Perry Ryan has extended his Bognor loan spell until the end of the season.

The 18-year-old has already spent the past month at Nyewood Lane.

During that time he has made five appearances, the latest of which came in the 2-1 victory at Whitehawk last Saturday.

Now Ryan, right, will remain at the Rocks for the remainder of the campaign to assist in their Ryman division one south promotion push.

For the central defender, it's the opportunity for precious first-team football.

Pompey's first-year professional has failed to break into Steve Cotterill's squad.

The Blues' decision to scrap their reserves this season has also robbed him of the opportunity to play.

However, he has featured in three friendlies for his home-town club.

Now Bognor have offered Ryan regular football.

Although, he continues to train with Pompey's first-team during the week.

Ryan featured for the Blues during their tour to America and Canada in the summer.

He made five pre-season appearances.

However, he has not been given a Pompey number this season and is yet to make a squad.
