Paul McCallum this afternoon spoke of his delight at clinching a switch to Pompey,
The 21-year-old has agreed a loan move from West Ham until the end of the season.
The striker has previously headed out for loan spells at Hearts, AFC Wimbledon, Aldershot and Torquay.
Now he is in the frame for a Pompey debut against Burton Albion on Saturday.
He said: ‘The club stature is what attracted me.
‘It should not be in League Two, they have a lot of fans and it’s a good club so was an easy decision to head down this way.
‘When I heard they were interested in taking me on loan it appealed.
‘They have shown real intent by signing Matt Tubbs and I had no hesitation in agreeing to come here.’
