Pompey have unveiled their new away strip for next season.

The design is one of three new shirts being introduced over the coming months.

But this will be the first launched, with Steve Cotterill’s side to wear it in their Fratton Park friendly with Chelsea on Saturday, July 16.

The strip features the words ‘Zeal does not rest’ on the back of the neck, which has been the motto of HMS Ark Royal since 1921.

In turn, that had its origins in Lord Howard of Effingham’s part in the victory over the Spanish Armada in 1588.

The shirt also features white Kappa logos on both shoulders and has Scotchgard technology, which keeps moisture away from the skin.

The away strip is currently available on pre-order, although it will not be delivered until the official launch date on Friday, July 15.

On the same date, it will also go on sale in stores at Fratton Park and in the Cascades.

Adult short-sleeve shirts are priced at £40 and are available in men and women fits. Long-sleeve men’s are £45 and junior short-sleeve shirts are £30.
