Pompey winger set for return against Walsall

Tal Ben-Haim has not yet returned to Pompey training as his future is thrashed out.

The Israeli international spent the first half of the season on loan at West Ham, making 12 appearances.

That spell has now ended, although the Blues expect the Premier League club to renew it until to the end of the season.

In the meantime, Ben-Haim is not back training with Cotterill's men.

And the defender – who has a contract until 2013 – is unlikely to return to Fratton Park before the summer.

Meanwhile, Michael Brown and Richard Hughes continue to train with the Blues, despite appearing to have no future at the club.

The duo have indicated their willingness to stay, although have had contract offers withdrawn as Pompey look to rein in wage levels.
