Give Marc McNulty a start
That’s the message from The News’ readers to Pompey boss Paul Cook ahead of tomorrow’s televised League Two clash with AFC Wimbledon.
Blues fans would like to see striker McNulty – signed on loan from Sheffield United earlier this month – named in Cook’s line-up after starting on the bench in the Blues’ FA Cup win over Macclesfield.
In goal, Brian Murphy (89.1 per cent) is preferred to youngster Alex Bass (10.9 per cent), despite his error against the Silkmen last weekend.
At the back, familiar faces Ben Davies (97 per cent), Christian Burgess (99 per cent), Adam Webster (93 per cent) and Enda Stevens (97 per cent) were all selected.
Nigel Atangana (52 per cent), held off competition from Danny Hollands (26.5 per cent) and Adam Barton (20.6 per cent) to partner skipper Michael Doyle (96.1 per cent) in the centre of the park.
While attacking-midfield trio Adam McGurk (78.6 per cent), Gareth Evans (79.6 per cent) and Kyle Bennett (89.3 per cent) got the nod with Conor Chaplin (39.8 per cent) the man to miss out.
Up front, new-boy McNulty (56,3 per cent) received more than double the votes of nearest challenger Caolan Lavery (26.2 per cent)
