Plymouth’s goalkeeping crisis ahead of Pompey clash

Have your say

Pompey are back in Fratton Park action tomorrow as they look to record their first win of the season against Colchester (3pm).

The Blues enter the game in 20th position in the early-season standings with two draws and a defeat, while the visitors are in second spot, following two wins and a draw.

Matt Clarke (groin), Jack Whatmough (knee) and Brandon Haunstrup (shoulder) are definitely ruled out of tomorrow’s action, while Ben Close (hamstring) is still an injury doubt and is unlikely to make the squad.

Tom Davies is pushing for a starting spot at centre-back to replace Adam Barton, while Michael Smith could face being axed from the side in favour of Noel Hunt, Curtis Main, or Conor Chaplin after failing to find the net in three consecutive starts.

Let us know what your Pompey line-up would be by filling in the above poll.

Remember, whatever you decide, your formation must be the 4-2-3-1 system boss Paul Cook favours.
