Have your say

Nathan Lee, 29, from Littlehampton, gives his take on the victory over Mansfield Town.

So what did you make of that then?

It was strange, the most subdued 4-0 win I have ever seen. Then there was the booing.

It was frustrating at 1-0 but booing was never going to help – and there was a lot of it around.

I normally sit in the North stand lower, but on Saturday moved to the Fratton end. I wish I hadn’t.

There was a lot more moaning and booing than I normally hear, unfortunately.

Supporters were hurling abuse about keeping the ball, walking around in possession and they were worried about Mansfield getting back into it.

I agreed with their points, but would never boo the team and it definitely took the gloss off the result for me.

What about the game?

I thought we were lucky to be in the lead at half-time after not starting well at all before Gary Roberts’ penalty.

Mansfield were much the better team in the opening 45 minutes, while from my vantage point it didn’t look like a spot kick.

We came out quicker in the second half and I expected Conor Chaplin to score with one which went wide, while Roberts himself had one that was easier to score than miss.

There were a few hairy moments, but we ran away with it in the end.

And the red cards?

Kyle Howkins was definitely two yellow cards and he deserved to be sent off.

The second dismissal, Alex Iacovitti, looked like a studs up, so he was always in trouble.

For a while I was getting frustrated in us passing it too much, we needed to get forward more. But we got there in the end.

Which players stood out for you?

Not many did, but Enda Stevens once again impressed and is already my player of the season.

He is so consistent, good on the ball and gets forward a lot to put in excellent crosses. He makes the game look easy at times.

Against Mansfield he was taking part in plenty of one-twos, getting the ball in behind, and I don’t think put a foot wrong.

Some people around me were saying Christian Burgess was awful – not something I agreed with.
