Pompey boss Andy Awford has become the latest to endure the Ice Bucket Challenge.
The Pompey boss had ice and water picthed over him at Fratton Park in a charity stunt.
Pompey chief executive Mark Catlin and the club’s head of education and welfare, Jon Slater, did the honours by tipping a bucket over Awford.
He squealed in shock as the ice hit home, shortly after he had nominated the Birmingham Children’s Hospital as his chosen beneficiary.
In the tradition of the Ice Bucket Challenge craze, Awford then nominated three people to undergo a freezing fundraiser - a former teacher, a nephew and Pompey coach Alan McLoughlin.
The Ice Bucket Challenge - which Pompey legend Alan Knight undertook earlier this week - has proved to be an internet sensation.
Awford said: ‘No, it wasn’t good fun! It’s all for a great cause though.
‘Knightsie (Alan Knight) and Big Kev (kitman Kev McCormack) threw down the gauntlet so it was the right thing to do.
‘I wasn’t too happy with the slow process of the way they poured the water on me.
‘There were a few ice cubes down the back of the neck but now I can look forward to watching the other people who have been nominated!’
Celebrities including Justin Timberlake, Lady Gaga, Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg, Tom Cruise, David Beckham and former President George W, Bush have all taken the challenge.
