Pompey finally look set to resolve two cash wrangles.
The Blues are owed money by Genoa for the transfer of Prince Boateng last summer.
The Italian club were 500,000 euros short of the agreed instalment of 1.325m euros in January.
Genoa have assured Pompey the overdue money will be paid by the end of this week before a similar instalment is due in July.
Pompey are also close to agreement in their attempt to secure the final 1m euros from Inter Milan for the sale of Sulley Muntari in 2008.
His former club Udinese claimed Pompey still owed them money as part of his initial transfer in 2007 and the row was headed for court.
But progress has been made in discussions this week.
