Pompey have completed the signing of Wes Fogden.

The 25-year-old today penned an 18-month deal plus a one-year option with the Blues following his release from Bournemouth.

The midfielder made 59 appearances for the Cherries, scoring six goals, having been snapped up from non-league football with the Hawks.

Pompey’s interest in Fogden was revealed by The News on January 2 as Richie Barker has explored strengthening his squad during the transfer window.

He joins Daniel Alfei, Ryan Taylor, Nicky Shorey and Jake Jervis arriving at Fratton Park this month, while Shaun Cooper has been released and John Sullivan loaned to Cambridge.
