Pompey drawn against U's in Premier League Cup

The Blues will play on home soil for a second successive match after beating Sheffield United 1-0 at the Hawks’ Westleigh Park last night.

Nicke Kabamba bagged his fourth goal for the reserves 10 minutes from time to clinch victory.

Eoin McKeown’s early first-half goal secured a 1-0 win for Colchester at Sunderland last week.

The U’s finished second in Group C, level on points with Hull, with only goal difference separating them.

They were three points clear of Manchester City in third.

Pompey’s match against Colchester will take place between March 31 and April 3.

A date and time is yet to be confirmed.
