Pompey are weighing up a bid for Kieron Freeman.

The Blues are considering bringing the right-back back to Fratton Park, after he was transfer-listed by Sheffield United.

Freeman has a year to go on his existing agreement at Bramall Lane, but has been told he’s surplus to requirements.

The 24-year-old joined Pompey on loan in January and made seven appearances, with three coming off the bench.

Freeman picked up a red card on the final day of the league campaign against Northampton, ruling him out of the play-offs.

Youngster Calvin Davies is the only right-back contracted to the club for next season after being handed a one-year pro deal.

Ben Davies is in talks over a new deal after picking up player-of-the-year plaudits, but has still to reach an agreement.
