The Pompey fans have spoken – and the majority believe it’s going to be a good Christmas at Fratton Park.

Last week we asked Blues supporters to predict how many points Paul Cook’s side would accumulate over the festive period.

And opinion on the terraces appears very optimistic.

Voting before yesterday’s 2-1 win at League Two leaders Northampton, 70 per cent of fans believed Pompey would get between eight and 11 points from the four games scheduled over the next two weeks.

Eight per cent went a step further to predict a maximum points haul from the games against Northampton, Leyton Orient, Luton and Crawley.

Those figures added together provides a ringing endorsement of the job Cook is doing at PO4.

But there’s still reason to be cautious, with 22 per cent of fans polled believing a tally between four and seven points was achievable.

Not enough of supporters believed less than three points was a realistic target to register a percentage - further evidence that in Cook fans trust.
