Noel Blake will be signing copies of ‘Played Up Pompey’ before Saturday’s clash with Carlisle.

Pompey’s popular former central defender will be joined by ex-winger Alan Rogers and long-serving kitman Barry Harris in Fratton Park’s Victory Lounge from 12.30-1.30pm.

The trio feature in the book written by The News’ chief sports writer, Neil Allen, which focuses on Pompey’s favourite figures.

Blake was signed by Alan Ball from Birmingham City in August 1984, going on to make 173 appearances and score 14 goals.

He was also twice crowned The News/Sports Mail Player of the Season and tomorrow night will be inducted into Pompey’s Hall of Fame.

Those unable to meet Blake on Saturday can order a signed copy by contacting neil.allen@thenews.co.uk

‘Played Up Pompey’ is priced at £16.99 and also available from Amazon at www.amazon.co.uk/dp/1910421057/ref=cm_sw_r_tw_awdl_i0hywb05B53EG
