Pompey land defender

The Blues have further bolstered their options for the new campaign by landing Davies from Accrington Stanley.

The 24-year-old joins Paul Cook’s men on a two-year deal after his contract came to a close at the Crown Ground.

Davies made 38 appearances for Stanley last season as John Coleman’s side made it to the League Two play-offs.

The former Fleetwood man has been with the Pompey squad since they returned to training this week.

Davies becomes Pompey’s seventh signing of the summer along with Matt Clarke, Drew Talbot, Danny Rose, Carl Baker, Michael Smith and Milan Lalkovic.
