Pompey had to make do with just a point as they were pegged back for a 1-1 draw by high-flying Burton Albion.

Jed Wallace gave Pompey the lead eight minutes before the break, tapping home a rebound from close range after Andy Barcham’s volley was tipped on to the post.

But Pompey failed to create too many chances after the break and Burton got their reward eight minutes from time when Darragh Lenihan’s shot from 25 yards nestled in Paul Jones’ bottom corner.

It extended a disappointing recent run for Pompey and took their winless streak to seven games.
