Pompey have announced their new intake of apprentices.

Six teenagers have been handed the opportunity to achieve their dreams of earning a career in the game.

The first-year apprentices have all been given two-year deals to impress under the Academy stewardship of Mark Kelly and Mikey Harris.

Jack Collins, Daniel Smith, Matthew Casey, Jordan Brooks, Jack Chandler and Matthew Mayes (all 16) are the players who have been given terms.

Collins is a goalkeeper from West Sussex, with Smith a midfielder from Warsash.

Casey is a central defender from Botley, with Brooks a midfielder who comes from London.

Right-back Chandler and striker Mayes will both be turning out for their home-city club.
