Life under Paul Cook will kick off with the visit of Dagenham & Redbridge to Fratton Park.

That is the outcome of the League Two fixtures for the 2015-16 campaign, which were released this morning.

The Blues will host the Daggers in the opening match of the season on Saturday, August 8.

That ensures the first two games are both taking place on the new Fratton Park turf, with Derby County visiting days later in the Capital One Cup.

Those fixtures are followed by successive away trips to Plymouth Argyle (August 15) and a mid-week visit to Crawley (August 18).

Elsewhere, Cook’s men will travel to Leyton Orient on Boxing Day, then host Luton (December 28) and Crawley (January 2) over the festive period.

Pompey’s first-ever visit to Barnet’s new home, The Hive Stadium, is on Saturday, January 30.

While the campaign ends with a home fixture to Northampton on Saturday, May 7.

However, the Fratton faithful will be dismayed to see mid-week games are lined-up at Exeter (March 1) and York (April 19).
