Premier League Pompey

Ladies showed their class

with a thumping 13-0 win over Southern Region side Aldershot in the Hampshire Cup final last night.

Midfielder Kirsty McGee got the ball rolling with the opener at Privett Park.

Sarah Kempson – playing in behind the front two – hit the second and the third.

Winger Shelly Cox added a brace to take the tally to five and Leeta Rutherford notched her first and second – either side of a Gemma Hillier goal.

Charley Wilson got in on the act with two and Kaylee Schumann-Edwards made it 11-0.

Player-of-the-match Rutherford and Wilson then completed their hat-tricks.

Manager Vanessa Raynbird said: ‘The girls love being in the final and we played some cracking football.

‘Unfortunately the teams we are playing in this competition are not anywhere near our level.

‘Leeta scored some great goals and hopefully she has saved some for Sunday in the league at Aston Villa.’
