A DEMONSTRATION planned to be held outside Fratton Park before Pompey’s home game tomorrow has been postponed.

SOS Pompey, the fans group which organised the demonstration, will instead meet David Lampitt, chief executive of Portsmouth Football Club, next week.

The group has a number of questions regarding the money Pompey’s owners are willing to spend on new players within this month’s transfer window.

It is anticipated that the demonstration may instead take place after the window closes on January 31 if SOS Pompey decide further action needs to be taken.

Brendon Bone, group spokesman, said: ‘SOS Pompey would like to point out that no pressure was ever put on us by Mr Lampitt or anyone at Portsmouth FC to postpone or cancel the demonstrations, however, the aims of SOS have always been to open full and frank dialogue with the owners and this is the first step to that happening.’
