Pompey will revive their reserve team for the forthcoming season’s newly-formed Final Third Development League southern division.

The Blues, who have not played reserve-league football since their relegation from the Premier League in 2010, will be joined by AFC Wimbledon, Bournemouth, Cambridge, Gillingham, Leyton Orient, Luton and Peterborough in the eight-team set-up.

The sides will face each other on a home and away basis, playing a total of 14 fixtures.
