Pompey have announced a pre-season friendly against the Hawks.
However, a fixture against Bournemouth remains doubtful.
Steve Cotterill’s men will face Havant & Waterlooville at West Leigh Park on Monday, July 11.
That was the date initially pencilled in to take on Lee Bradbury’s Bournemouth.
Questions marks over that match had long been raised amid concerns the Dean Court pitch wouldn’t be ready in time following £12,000 worth of close-season improvements.
Now Pompey have revealed they will instead line-up against Shaun Gale’s men on that date for their annual pre-season encounter.
Inevitably, that now throws into doubt a trip to take on the Cherries.
The Hawks, however, will be delighted to once again host Pompey in the fixture (kick-off 7.30pm).
In addition, Blue Square South Dorchester Town have revealed they are to play a friendly against Pompey on Tuesday, August 2.
The match marks a testimonial for the long-serving Mark Jermyn.
The Dorchester club captain has spent the past 11 years at the Avenue Stadium, making around 500 appearances.
However, the fixture has yet to be confirmed publicly by the Blues.
Pompey have already booked a clash with Chelsea for Saturday, July 16.
That will be their only Fratton Park friendly during pre-season.
Steve Cotterill is also putting the finishing touches to a two-week tour of America.
Should that fall through, he is eyeing Holland, Germany, Austria or England as alternatives.
