Pompey will tomorrow (Thursday) complete the loan signing of Paul McCallum.

The West Ham striker is to train with his new team-mates in the morning and is in the frame for a debut in Saturday’s visit of Burton Albion.

Aged 21, he has enjoyed fruitful loan spells away from Upton Park at Hearts, Torquay, Aldershot and AFC Wimbledon during the previous two seasons.

However, the towering McCallum has yet to play a first-team game during the current campaign.
