Portsmouth boss not yet worried over Millwall recall for Thompson

The in-form midfielder is attached to Pompey on a season-long loan from Millwall.

'˜Obviously Ben is Millwall's player, so it's very much up to them what the situation is at that particular time with their midfield players.

'˜The recall is a standard loan option. For us he has settled well, settled quickly.

'˜We have been pleased with him and he has fitted in well in terms of as a person and a lad.

'˜But we understand he's a Millwall player at present and on loan to us.

'˜We will deal with it when it comes. If Ben stays with us we'll be delighted and if he is recalled by his parent club there is not a lot we can do about that, it is obviously their decision.

'˜He played very well on Tuesday night, with a man-of-the-match display again.

'˜Neil (Harris) is somebody I speak to regularly anyway '“ and I am sure he will be aware of how Ben is doing.'

'˜It almost looks like pre-season for quite a few players, but he has come through that and established himself in the team in a very short space of time, being a consistent performer for us.'
