Pompey have announced fans who attended the abandoned Wycombe match will not be charged to watch the rescheduled fixture.

Tuesday night’s match was called off at half-time amid torrential rain and a waterlogged pitch.

The scoreline was 1-1 at the time, although the game will start from scratch when it is re-staged.

No date has been set for the teams to meet again at Fratton Park but Pompey have stated that, in a gesture of good will, the crowd of 14,285 will be allowed to re-use their tickets.

They are now urging supporters to ensure they retain such tickets required for re-admittance.

In terms of when the fixture could take place, both sides are free on Saturday, November 9.

However, that weekend is earmarked for the first round of the FA Cup, with the draw taking place this Sunday.

The sides also have Saturday, December 7, free with it being the second-round weekend.

Availability on that date will hinge on whether both sides are knocked out earlier.

The alternative would be midweek, although there is a Johnstone’s Paint Trophy trip to Newport on November 12.
