Tom Kilbey looks to have kicked his last ball for Pompey.

The midfielder agreed a loan move to Lincoln until the end of the campaign last week, as he seeks the first-team football he has failed to find at Fratton.

It appears his time with the Blues is set to end – his current deal is up in the summer and he’s failed to impress Steve Cotterill.

It proved to be a nightmare start for the 20-year-old at Sincil Bank, too, as the League Two outfit were smashed 6-0 at home by Rotherham on Friday night.

Kilbey was withdrawn with 14 minutes remaining of a debut to forget.

The Londoner has made three appearances as a substitute under Cotterill, scoring in the FA Cup defeat at Brighton.

He was part of the club’s ill-fated pre-season trip to America but a knee injury slammed the brakes on his progress and he has struggled to make a significant impression on the first-team since then.
