The Pompey Supporters’ Trust are to present a detailed update on club finances next month.

The group is holding its annual pre-season event at Fratton Park on Friday, July 18, from 5-8pm.

Andy Awford and his first-team squad are scheduled to attend, as well as chief executive Mark Catlin.

In addition, those present will be provided with financial figures covering the period since the last such meeting in September 2013.

However, the event is strictly for those with shares in the Trust and tickets will be distributed for the evening.

A total of 350 tickets were yesterday made available, with fans who qualify warned it will be run of a first come, first served basis.

E-mails containing details on how to obtain seats have already been seen out to Trust shareholders.

The evening will also stage a question-and-answer session with manager Awford, scheduled to start from 7.30pm.

Meanwhile, players and staff will be on hand to mingle with supporters ahead of the forthcoming League Two campaign.

Trust spokesman John Kimbell said: ‘The event will represent a good opportunity for shareholders to ask questions to get the answers they need.

‘Those members of the playing squad available will also be present to mingle and chat with the supporters, while the manager will be hosting a question-and-answer session.

‘There will also be a presentation on club finances.

‘However, this is for shareholders only and, in terms of tickets, operates on a first come, first served basis.

‘Hopefully, we can source a better wireless microphone as well!’

Doors for the event open at 5pm, with food and drink available.

The squad will be introduced at 6pm, with 30 minutes allocated for them to chat with supporters.

The Trust and finance update will begin at 7pm, with Awford’s question-and-answer session taking place at 7.30pm.

A separate event for Trust members and non-shareholders is expected to be staged later in the year.
