Paul Cook has called on the Fratton faithful to serve up an electric atmosphere in Pompey’s League Two curtain raiser against Dagenham & Redbridge on Saturday (3pm).

But it was the Blues boss who was doing the serving earlier today when he took on assistant manager Leam Richardson in an improvised, light-hearted game of football tennis at the club’s training ground.

While Cook may have got the better of his close friend in the opening exchanges, it was the concrete surface that got the better of him as the new man at the helm took a tumble fetching a rogue Richardson volley.

See all the action and Cook’s amusing fall in the above video – as posted on Pompey’s official YouTube channel.
