The Blues still remain in the play-off places, but are now six points adrift of Oxford in third, who occupy the final automatic promotion spot.

Apart from the U’s and leaders Northampton, Paul Cook’s side have games in hand on teams above them in the standings.

However, directly below them on goal difference are Accrington, who have played two games less than Pompey and could leapfrog the Blues.

With 18 games left to play, it’s cetainly gearing up to be an interesting climax to the season for Pompey.
